Hello lovely readers! You can’t imagine how lucky we were yesterday, to meet and have coffee with an amazing person, Dimitris Strepkos. For those you might not know, Dimitris Strepkos is the instigator and designer along with Eleni Mparla behind the brand Celebrity Skin. Dimitris is the guy you want to hang out with and although that was the first time we met (of course we have seen him at his shows but never talked to each other before), we felt like we knew him for ages. Attractive in every way, we would be able listen to him for hours.

Although the brand Celebrity Skin has been up for less than two years, Dimitris Strepkos has been designing theatrical costumes for over than 15 years. «I started a little bit backwards. First I worked at the theater then I got involved with fashion industry and I ended up as a fashion designer. » He admits that his two great loves are painting and water polo (You can tell from his body structure!). But how did he end up as a fashion designer with his own brand..?
“Everybody was keeping telling me I should become a fashion designer. After Dinos Diamantopoulos died I was in shock. I decided it was time for me to start something on my one. I proposed Eleni to begin our line “Celebrity Skin” and she accepted. That was it!” He points out that “Celebrity Skin is a tagline it can both means the skin of a celebrity or a skin that is a celebrity”.

” There is no other Troy for me to burn..”
Kinda of knowing it, but it’s different to hear it from someone like Dimitris, “Greek women have no sense of style! They are afraid of trying new things considering their style and they love logo mania. I hate logo mania. Logo mania shows a great insecurity. Mix and match is the style for me. Expensive combined with cheap clothes. Brands don’t make you a star. “It girls” are making fashion by discovering the next trend while you ignoring it.”

Where does he get his inspiration from? “I get inspired by Hitchcock’s and Burton’s movies. I love Tim Burton. Also I really like observing people at streets. Drinking my coffee and wearing my sunglasses and just looking around people running. I never copy other designers. I only copy myself. And I really can’t help it since Celebrity Skin has a unique style and way the clothes are presented that the basic idea can’t change. It’s who we are.”
